Image Resolution Options

We offer a choice of lens/camera options to enable configuring your LizardQ imaging solution to the exact needs of your application. Choose a spherical image resolution of 100 Megapixels (that's the original LizardQ capability), ensuring reasonable detail in your images while optimizing for capture speed. Go for the best by using a Zeiss lens with top-of-the-line Canon cameras to achieve a staggering 500 Megapixels, while trading off on capture speed. We also offer a 200 Megapixel solution offering double our «classic» image resolution while being equally fast.

All options can be configured in the field and even added later on, as changing image resolution is just a question of swapping the pre-adjusted lens and/or exchanging the Canon camera body.

We offer upgrade packages for existing customers.

Comparing image resolution

Here are detail images of the same scene, taken from the same standpoint using the three different LizardQ system configurations. The images show a street sign (it says "Lutherstraße", which is German for "Luther street"). While the classic 100 Megapixel just barely resolves the individual characters, the 500 Megapixel resolution makes the sign clearly legible.
